Creating asset allocations

  1. Select Application Administration > Financials > Assets > Setup.
  2. In the Process Controls panel, click Asset Types.
  3. Select an asset type record.
  4. On the Allocations tab, click Create.
  5. Specify this information:
    From Date
    After you create changes to a current allocation, a new allocation is automatically created with the current system date as the start date.
    To Date
    After you create changes to a current allocation, the current system date becomes the end date of the last allocation. The current date becomes the begin date of the new allocation.
  6. Click Save.
