Updating summary projects

A project structure contains summary and posting level projects with parent-child relationships. Summary projects or parent tasks are created to summarize child tasks into balances for project management, control, and reporting.

  1. Select Application Administration > Financials > Global Ledger.
  2. In the Maintenance panel, select My Finance Enterprise Group.
  3. On the Project tab, open a project structure.
  4. On the Hierarchy tab, select a summary project.
  5. Select Actions > Update.
  6. On the Main tab, update the information.
  7. To change the summary project record to a contract, click Create Contract.
  8. On the User Fields tab, specify the user fields that are used to personalize the project. User fields are added in configuration console personalization.
  9. Click Save.
