Adding contacts to contracts
Use this procedure to define a list of people you commonly work with when creating a contract. You have the option of creating an ad hoc contact person or you can create a contact from an existing employee record.
- Select Contracts > Contracts.
- Open a contract.
- On the Contacts tab, click Create Ad Hoc Contact, Create Contact From Employee, or Create Contact From Employee With Access.
Note: The Create Contact From Employee With Access button is only available to administrators with the ContractAccessAdministrator_ST role.
- Specify this information:
- First Name
- If you select Create Ad Hoc Contact, specify the first name of the contact.
- Last Name
- If you select Create Ad Hoc Contact, specify the last name of the contact.
- Email Address
- If you select Create Ad Hoc Contact, specify the email address of the contact.
- Phone Country/Jurisdiction Code
- If you select Create Ad Hoc Contact, specify the country or jurisdiction code of the contact's phone number.
- Phone Number
- If you select Create Ad Hoc Contact, specify the phone number of the contact.
- Extension
- If you select Create Ad Hoc Contact, specify the extension number if available.
- Employee
- If you select Create Contact From Employee or Create Contact From Employee With Access, select the employee from which to create a contact.
- Country/Jurisdiction

Select the country or jurisdiction of the contact. After you select a country or jurisdiction, these fields are available:
- Street Address
- City
- State/Province
- Zip Code
- County/District
- Street Address
- Specify the street address of the contact. You can use multiple text boxes to fit the complete address.
- City
- Specify the city of the contact.
- State/Province
- Select the state or province of the contact.
- Zip Code
- Specify the zip or postal code of the contact.
- County/District
- Specify the county or district of the contact if applicable.
- Contact Type
- Select the contact type.
- Primary Internal Contact
- If you select Create Contact From Employee or Create Contact From Employee With Access, then you can select this check box to assign the employee to be primarily responsible for the contract. Use this field if a contract does not have a primary contact assigned or if you must override the existing primary contact.
- Secondary Contact
- Select this check box so that the contact that you create can also receive all contract-related emails that are sent to the primary contact. Use this field if you must notify another contact of the contract.
- Allow Supplier to View in Portal
- Select this check box so that suppliers can view the contact in Supplier Portal.
- Click Save.
