Integrating with Asset Management

Close Management can be integrated with Asset Management.

Close tasks

When Close Management is integrated with Asset Management, all associated asset books are listed in the Asset Books panel. You can select or remove asset books from this panel, but no start or complete actions are available.

Selecting an asset book opens the corresponding Asset Management form in Read-only mode.

Close Period tasks

All Asset Book calendars associated with a Close Period task are listed in the Book Calendar panel. No actions are available for the listed book calendars.

Selecting a book calendar opens the corresponding Asset Management form in Read-only mode.

A close period task that is associated with an Asset Book calendar is considered part of Asset Management. Therefore, the task cannot be started, completed, voided, or reopened in Close Management.

When depreciation is calculated, the Close Period task status is updated to In Process. When the asset period is closed, the task status is updated to Closed.

If the close period task is removed from all Asset Book calendars, the Close Management actions including Start, Complete, Void, and Reopen become available for the task.
