Adding interest to a child dimension

When interest-bearing is enabled at the summary level, one posting account can be defined in the hierarchy to receive interest.

  1. Select Application Administration > Financials > Global Ledger > Setup.
  2. On the Maintenance panel, click Finance Enterprise Groups.
  3. Open the finance enterprise group and click the Finance Dimension 10 tab.
  4. Open the Finance Dimension 10 structure.
  5. Click the Hierarchy tab.
  6. Open a posting record.
  7. Specify this information:
    Receive Interest
    Select this check box if interest can be accrued on this account.
    Expendable
    Select this check box if disbursements can be issued from this account.
    Classification
    Select a classification.
  8. Click Save.
