Setting up orchestration

You can independently run each of the Business Class Compass Queries. For each of the Compass Queries, there is a corresponding Extract Group to apply to the Orchestration.

After each Business Class Extract is run, you must publish the Business Classes where you did an extract. In the orchestration, you must reference the appropriate Publish Group for the Business Class query.

Load these filtered query content into the Infor Birst measure tables in the GL_Measures space where you must run the Publish Group. Note that the typical processing groups must not be processed in this orchestration, unless done in a separate orchestration step.

This is an example of an orchestration for FSM_GLTransaction:

  1. In Infor Birst, select [[Tenant]_CSF-Source-GL space space.
  2. Select Admin > Orchestration.
  3. Click Create Workflow.
  4. Specify GeneralLedgerTransaction_Compass as the workflow name and click Save.
  5. Add a task to a step by performing these steps:
    1. In Step 1, click Add Task to Step.
    2. Specify this information:
      Select a task type.
      Specify Extract.
      Space
      Specify [Tenant]_CSF-Source-GL space.
      Connection
      Specify CSF Infor Data Lake Compass Driver.
      Extraction Group
      Specify FSM_GeneralLedgerTransaction_Compass.
  6. Add another step by performing these steps:
    1. Click Add a new step.
    2. Click Add Task to Step.
    1. Specify this information:
      Select a task type
      Specify Publish.
      Space
      Specify [Tenant]_CSF-Source-GL space.
      Publishing Group
      Specify 030-FSM_GeneralLedgerTransaction_Compass.
  7. Add another step by performing these steps:
    1. Click Add a new step.
    2. Click Add Task to Step.
    1. Specify this information:
      Select a task type.
      Specify Publish.
      Space
      Specify [Tenant]_CSF-Model-GL-Measures space.
      Publishing Group
      Specify 351- GeneralLedgerTransaction Compass Source.
  8. Add another step by performing these steps:
    1. Click Add a new step.
    2. Click Add Task to Step.
    3. Specify this information:
      Select a task type.
      Specify Publish.
      Space
      Specify [Tenant]_CSF- CSF-Source-GL space.
      Publishing Group
      Specify 011-Reset Extract Variables - Selective.
  9. Click Save.
