Purchase order structure
The structure of a purchase order:
Header
The header contains information for the entire purchase order, including company, buyer, vendor, Ship To Location, delivery date, and Inventory Region.
Inventory Region is derived from the header Ship To Location and identifies the regional grouping for the purchase order.
Line
A purchase order line contains order information about a specific item.
Each line contains details for a specific item, including item number, quantity, unit of measure, unit cost, delivery date, Ship To Location, and Inventory Region.
Inventory Region is derived from the Ship To Location on the line.
Comments
One or more comment types can be used to create a single comment on the purchase order header or line.
