Integrating with Company System Control

Close Management can be integrated with Company System Closing Control.

Close Tasks

All associated system codes are listed in the Company System Closing Control panel. You can view associated system code details but cannot update the records from Close Management.

The Company System Closing Control panel:
  • Displays associated Company System Closing Control details.
  • Enables you to add or remove Company System Closing Control.
  • Opens Company System Closing Control records in read-only mode.

Close Period Tasks

All Company System Closing Control associated with a Close Period Task are listed in the Company System Control panel of a scheduled task. No actions are available on the list. Selecting a Company System Closing Control opens the same form in read-only mode.

While a close period task is managed through Company System Closing Control automation, Close Management actions are not available for the task. The Start, Complete, Void, and Reopen actions are disabled because task status is controlled by subsystem period-closing activity.

If the task is not managed through Company System Closing Control automation, Close Management actions remain available, and the task can be managed manually.

Automation of task status

When a subsystem period is successfully closed, the system automatically updates and completes the associated Close task.

During the subsystem close process, the system updates Company System Control information, including:
  • Closed Period
  • Period Name
When the same close task is associated with multiple supported Company System Closing Control within a single company, the close period task is not completed until all associated system controls for that company and period are closed.
Note: Completing a Close task does not remove the association from the Company System Closing Control.
