Voiding tasks

You can void a task for an open period if it is no longer required for that period. A task is voided when it is in either a scheduled or an in process status. A voided task is visible for the period. A task that is voided in error is reopened.

  1. Select Close > Administration > Setup And Processes.
  2. In the Process panel, click Manage Process.
  3. Click the View Schedule tab.
  4. Select the open period and select the corresponding scheduled task.
  5. Right-click the task and click Void Task.
  6. If a reason code is required for voiding a task, then select a reason code. Optionally, add comments.
  7. Click OK.
    Note: Tasks linked to automated Entity System Controls cannot be manually voided. Task status is controlled by subsystem period close processing.
