IDM security roles

Configurations are required for Document Output Management security. Several tasks are required before the services of IDM can be used in Financials & Supply Management.

Configure users, custom control lists, and document type filters in IDM security roles.

User security roles

This table shows the recommended security roles:

Role Description
IDM-User
  • Upload the IDM templates
  • Generate output documents
  • Access documents in Infor Document Output Management application
  • This role inherits IDM-RelatedInformationUser
IDM-RelatedInformationUser
  • Attach documents in the Related Information section in Infor LTR or Infor OS Portal
  • View related documents in Related Information section of Infor LTR or Infor OS Portal
  • Does not have access to Infor Document Output Management application
IDM-SuperUser This role provides full access to documents in Infor Document Output Management. Users with this role bypass the security model and are granted access to all content. Assign this role with care as this user can access and edit any document in the system with no restrictions. Note that a user repository administrator can add people to this role. This role implicitly includes the IDM-User.
IDM-SignatureUser This role provides users access to send documents to be signed. In addition, they must be added as a user in the linked document signature account.

Administrator roles

This table shows recommended security roles to use administrator functionality of Infor Document Output Management services in FSM:

IDM-Administrator Access to IDM Control Center for managing document types and configuring printing service

Infor Document Management Administration - Cloud Edition.

This table shows the custom-defined access control list of Infor Document Management for Access Control List or ACL. The ACL is a set of user roles and privileges that is defined per document type. This is being managed by the IDM administrator through the Control Center. For more information on how IDM administrator manages IDM in the Control Center refer to Financials & Supply Management.
