Troubleshooting

Use these solutions to resolve known issues when setting up Inventory Intelligence:
Issue Solution
Actor signed in as Inventory Intelligence Specialist role does not see recommendations data.
  1. Ensure that the II_FSM_INTERNAL replication set has been run.

    See Monitoring replication sets.

  2. Ensure the actor has access rights to view this location, if location-specific access rights have been set up. If location-specific access rights have not been set up, ensure the actor has global access rights to view all locations.

    See Access rights.

(Single tenant only) Actor signed in as Inventory Intelligence Specialist role does not see recommendations data. Replicated data has been verified and actor access rights have been verified. Increase log level and monitor IIReplicationProcessor work units to view more details of internal replication:
  1. Sign in as Process Server Administrator and select Configuration > Process Definitions > Application Defined Processes
  2. Open the IIReplicationProcessor process.
  3. Select the Capture Activity Start and End Times check box.
  4. In the Log Level list, select Work Unit And Activity.
  5. Manually run the II_FSM_INTERNAL replication set.
  6. While the replication set is running, select Administration > Work Units > Work Units and resolve any errors that appear.
Incomplete data replication

Reset the replication set and purge all Inventory Intelligence Data to clear input and output tables of the engine.

  1. To reset, select Administration Console > Replication.
  2. Search for the II_FSM_INTERNAL replication set .
  3. Select the replication set and click Reset.
  4. To purge Inventory Intelligence data, select Inventory > Administration > Miscellaneous > Configuration
  5. Open a configuration record.
  6. Click Action > Purge Replicated Records.
  7. Select All and click Submit.
  8. To monitor the purging status, select Async Administrator and search for the InventoryIntelligence queue.
    1. To expedite the process, click the InventoryIntelligence queue.Temporarily change the Max Active Action to 5 and click Save.
    2. After purging is complete, revert it back to 1.
  9. After running all triggers related to Inventory Intelligence, the purging is complete, and then you can run replication again.
User made changes outside of Inventory Intelligence

You can make changes outside of Inventory Intelligence without restrictions. New recommendations are generated when changes result to suboptimal values.

To prevent Inventory Intelligence from generating recommendations for a specific item, you can mark the item as Out of Scope within the Inventory Intelligence interface.

Also, the Cumulative Change graph in Inventory Intelligence only tracks changes made through the Inventory Intelligence user interface. Changes made outside of Inventory Intelligence are not shown in this graph.
