Creating bin types

Use this procedure to define bin types. For information about defining bins, see the Inventory Control User Guide.

  1. Select Administrator > Supply Management > Groups and Companies > Inventory Companies.
  2. Open an inventory company record.
  3. On the Bin Types tab, specify this information:
    Bin Type
    Specify a code to represent the bin type.
    Description
    Provide a description.
    Allow Receipt

    Select this check box to allow this bin type to receive items.

    Allow Issue
    Select this check box to allow this bin type to issue items.
  4. Click Save.
