Populate report definitions

The Build/Rebuild action verifies the contents of Report Catalog to make sure they are up-to-date. Typically, customers are not required to run this action. The Standard Update action is run by Infor when a new Service Release (SR) is delivered.

Build/Rebuild is primarily used at a customer site to fix errors and could have unintended consequences. In general, customers should not run the action without guidance from Infor. If an Infor employee recommends running a Build/Rebuild action, follow their instructions. The information about how to run the action is included to assist with that purpose.

Use this procedure to build or rebuild report definitions:

  1. Select Administration Console > Reporting > Administration > Rebuild Report Definitions.
  2. On the dialog box, select the type of build.
    Standard Update
    Select to determine if any report definitions are missing, for example, newly created reports, and adds them. Standard Update does not overwrite names or descriptions that were changed by the customer.
    Force Update
    Select to overwrite existing data. This includes names and descriptions that were changed by the customer.
    Full Rebuild
    Select to delete existing data and rebuild all report definitions, excluding external types.
  3. Click Submit to run immediately or click Schedule and complete the form to schedule the action.
