Exporting a list to CSV

You can also export a list of records to a CSV or Excel file. To access the options for exporting to CSV, use the options menu. You can view the CSV file in the Print Files tab of the Report Catalog.

  1. From the report list, click the ellipsis (3-dot) menu of the report you plan to export and select Export to CSV.
  2. Select a display format. If you select CSV, commas between fields are included. If you select Excel, your output is formatted for viewing in Excel.
  3. In the Header field, select Field ID or Field Label
  4. On the Contents tab, select a record limit. The default is 5,000. Other options are No Limit, Larger (250,000), Small (100). You can also select Specify Record Limit which prompts you to manually input the number of records.
    Note: If you export to Excel with No limit or Specify Record Limit selected, a message is displayed that indicates the maximum number of records accepted by Excel.
  5. On the Sharing tab, select a report distribution group.

    If your site has created distribution groups, you can select options for sending the CSV file to the group. The options available for sharing vary depending on the profile of the group. For example, some groups allow you to share files with actors who are not in the group, other groups do not allow this.

  6. Click Export to generate CSV immediately or click Schedule and complete the form to schedule the action. You can specify whether to receive email notification when the printing is completed or failed.
