Notification types

Notification is a type of communication between EFT banks and customers to verify the transfer of funds. This list shows the types of notifications:

  • Prenotification
    • Customer prenote

If the customer prenote field is selected, then the customer receives a prenotification when open items are designated to be paid through an EFT payment.

    • Bank prenote

If the bank prenote field is selected, then the entire EFT cycle must be run from start to finish to create an initialization file. This file is sent to the bank to enable bank accounts for EFT processing. In this initialization cycle, there are no transactions selected for the customer. After the initialization or prenote cycle for the bank is complete, transactions are eligible to be selected in the next EFT cycle.

  • Final notification

This process confirms an EFT payment with remittance has been created. All customers receive final notification.
