Generating Federal Financial reports for multiple funding sources

Use this procedure to generate federal financial reports for all funding sources or for a funding source group. These reports are only valid for external grants and intercompany funding sources. Before the first federal financial reports are generated, a format template must be created.

  1. Create a format template. To view sample report templates, select Project Document Sample Templates.
  2. Select Federal Financial Reports.
  3. Select the Generate Federal Financial Reports .
  4. Specify this information:
    Funding Source Group
    Select a funding source group to create the reports. If a funding source group does not exist, then use Edit Mode to create one. Use any dimension on the finance dimension 2 business class to define a data group. We recommend that separate groups are created for IDM and non-IDM reports. To include all eligible funding sources, this field must be blank.
    Report Description
    Provide a report description. This description is used for all funding source reports.
    Report Type
    Select whether the report contains quarterly, semi annual, annual, or final data. This field has no other function aside from printing on the report.
    Basis
    Select whether the grant reporting basis is Cash or Accrual.
    Reporting Thru Date
    Select the date through which the report is generated.
    Use IDM
    Select this check box to use an IDM format for the report.
    Grant Federal Reporting Format
    Select a template to use to generate the report. The first time you generate the federal financial reports, a format can be created. To view sample reports to use, select Project Document Sample Templates.

  5. Click Submit.
