Budget group obligation variance report

Generate this report to identify budget groups with mismatches between local and cube obligations and to resolve discrepancies in obligations to ensure accurate budget editing.

This report a list of budget groups in a budget template. When a mismatch exists for a budget group and a period, a variance record is created. This record shows the Local Obligation Amount, Cube Obligation Amount, and Unposted Amount.

Local Obligations for a budget group are an aggregation of actuals, released commitments, encumbrances, released journals, and pending approval journals. These obligations are updated before the cube obligations and they are referenced during budget editing.

Cube Obligations are the total obligations in the BI cube for the budget group. The local obligation amount is initially calculated from the cube obligations, released journals, and pending approval journals.
