Viewing the inventory locations KPIs

Use these steps to view the recommendations for these KPI parameters:

  • Items
  • Inventory Value
  • Increase
  • Decrease
  • Removal Candidates
  1. Select Manage Inventory Recommendations.
  2. On the All Locations tab, in the first columns, you can view this location identifier information:
    Company
    The company name or ID of the location
    Location
    The location name or ID
    Type
    Perpetual, par, or exchange cart type
  3. In the Items column, you can view this information:
    Total
    This is the number of items in a location. The items must meet these criteria:
    • Active
    • Bin tracked with a preferred bin set - This can be turned off in the global configuration.
    • Inventory tracked - This can be turned off in the global configuration.
    • Non-consignment - Consignment items can be included in global configuration.
    Eligible
    This is a subset of the item count. This value represents the number of items that meet the criteria to receive a recommendation.
  4. In the Inventory Value column, you can view this information:
    Reference
    The value of items in a location before the recommendations run. This value is based on reference ROP/Par Level.
    Target
    The value of eligible items in a location. Listed in order of priority by availability, this value is based on these ROP/Par Level types:
    • Override
    • Recommended
    • Reference
    Under Review
    This value is the sum of Potential Cost and Potential Savings fields.
    Accepted
    This value is the sum of the cost of improved service and savings. This value is the difference between current and reference values of all eligible item locations within a location.
  5. In the Increase column, you can view this information:
    Items
    The number of items that have a recommended increase or override.
    Reference
    The value of items that have a recommended increase or override before the recommendations run.
    Target
    The value of items that have a recommended increase or override, based on recommended or overridden ROP/Par Level.
    Potential Cost
    The potential cost of improved service if you accept the recommended item increase. This cost is the difference between current and target values of locations with an increase recommendation value.
    Accepted
    The cost of improved service of accepted increase recommendations. This cost is the difference between current and reference values of locations with increase recommendation value.
  6. In the Decrease column, you can view this information:
    Items
    The number of items that have a recommended decrease or override.
    Reference
    The value of items that have a recommended decrease or override before the recommendations run.
    Target
    The value of items that have a recommended decrease or override, based on recommended or overridden ROP/Par Level.
    Potential Savings
    The value of potential savings if you accept the recommended item decrease. This value is the difference between current and target values of locations with a decrease recommendation value.
    Accepted
    The value of savings of accepted decrease recommendations. This value is the difference between current and reference values of locations with decrease recommendation value.
  7. In the Removal Candidates column, you can view this information:
    Items
    The number of items that are marked as candidates for removal. A recommendations run may mark an item as a potential candidate for removal from inventory.
    Value
    The sum reference value of items in a location that are marked as removal candidates.
