Data fields

Information for inventory items is displayed in these common fields throughout Inventory Intelligence.
Note: You can use the personalization action to add additional fields. For example, to add the location name, add the InventoryLocation.Name business class.

General fields

This table shows fields that are available in all data grids:

Analysis Type The type of simulation performed on an item
  • SIMULATION: Fully simulated
  • LOW_DATA: Few data points
  • NEW_ITEM: New item
Reference Inventory Value Inventory value for the item at this location sent from Reference at the start of the recommendations run
Target Inventory Value Inventory value for the item at this location if the recommendation or override is accepted
Inventory Value Change Difference between the reference and target inventory values
Final Product Cost Calculated cost for the item at this location
First Record/Last Record and First Issue/Last Issue for perpetual items The date of the first or last record in history for this item sent from your Reference to Inventory Intelligence
Total Locations Total number of locations the item is used

Perpetual item reorder point, maximum order, and reorder quantity fields

For each perpetual item, item-specific parameters and ordering factors such as UOM, minimum order quantity, order multiplier, historical demand, and lead times are considered in the recommendation engine. These parameters are used to ensure that the suggested reorder points (ROPs), maximum order, and reorder quantities align with the actual ordering and stocking of the item.

This table shows the fields that are available in the Reorder Point, Maximum Order, and Reorder Quantity sections of a data grid:

Field Description
Reference The value from the Item Location at the time the recommendation was made.
Recommended Recommendation for the reorder point, maximum order, and reorder quantity value. Review this recommendation and decide whether to approve, send to Item Location, skip, or override.
Override Specify an override value to send to Item Location.
You can specify an override ROP, maximum order, or reorder quantity, regardless of whether the item has a recommendation. Click the Override column, then set a value, and save. The status changes to Review.
Note: The override value must be a positive integer.
Direction Direction of the reorder point value by Increase, Decrease, or Other
Change The difference of the recommendation value from the reference value. For example, 10 indicates a recommended increase of 10 units while -10 indicates a recommended decrease of 10 units.
Abs % Change The percentage change as an absolute value of the recommendation from the reference. For example, a value of 10% indicates the recommendation is either an increase or decrease of 10%. See the Direction field for additional context.
Current The value from Item Location based on the most recent Daily Data run.

Perpetual item KPI fields

This table shows fields that are available in the KPI section of a data grid and in the summary description of an item on the Item Details tab:

Field Description
Max Daily Issues Maximum number of daily issues during the analysis window
Avg Non-zero Issues The average number of issues on days that had an issue.
Avg Daily Issues The average number of issues per day.
Stockout Days Number of days when an item was out of stock during the analysis window
Stockout Events Number of days when an item first went out of stock during the analysis window
Turns Number of times inventory is used during the relevant time period. This value is calculated as average daily issues divided by average stock on hand.
Avg SOH The average stock on hand during the analysis window.
Simulated Avg SOH The simulated average stock on hand during the analysis window. Shows the average stock on hand for the current analysis window when the reorder point is Recommended instead of Reference.
Avg Stock On Hand Percent Change The percent difference between Simulated Avg SOH and Avg SOH. For example, for a Simulated Avg SOH with value of 12 and an Avg SOH with value of 10 is a difference of 20%. A Simulated Avg SOH with value of 9 and Avg SOH with value of 10 is a difference of -10%.
Avg Inventory Cost The average inventory cost during analysis window. This value is calculated as the final product cost multiplied by the average stock on hand.
Simulated Avg Inventory Cost The simulated average inventory cost during analysis window. Shows the average inventory cost when the reorder point is Recommended instead of Reference. This value is calculated as the final product cost multiplied by the average stock on hand.
Avg Inventory Cost Percent Change The percent difference between Simulated Avg Inventory Cost and Avg Inventory Cost. For example, for a Simulated Avg Inventory Cost with value of 12 and an Avg Inventory Cost with value of 10 is a difference of 20%. A Simulated Avg Inventory Cost with value of 9 and an Avg Inventory Cost with value of 10, there is a difference of -10%.
Actual Service Level The actual service level for the current analysis window. Service level represents the desired availability of an item at a specific location.
Simulated Service Level The simulated service level for the current analysis window. Shows the predicted service level with a reorder point of Recommended instead of Reference.
Service Level Change The difference between a simulated and actual service level. The value is calculated as Simulated Service Level minus Actual Service Level.

Par item general fields

This table shows general fields that are available in the data grid for par items:

Field Description
Par UOM Par unit of measure

Target Days Between Orders For par items, recommended target frequency of placing orders or replenishments. For example, a value of 1 indicates a recommended order frequency of daily and a value of 7 indicates a recommended order frequency of weekly.
Par Level Daily Reference recommended par level for daily replenishments
Par Level Semiweekly Reference recommended par level for replenishments twice per week
Par Level Weekly Reference recommended par level for weekly replenishments
