Creating a credit hold for billing invoices

  1. Select Financials > Receivables > Setup > Receivable Code Setup > Receivable Hold Code.
  2. Click Create.
  3. Specify this information:
    Customer Group
    Select the customer group.
    Hold Code
    Specify the hold code that is assigned to various levels.
    Description
    Provide the description of the hold code.
    Customer Applicable
    Select this check box if the hold code is applicable to the customer.
    Customer Order Applicable
    Select this check box if the hold code is applicable at the order level.
    Customer Order Line Applicable
    Select this check box if the hold code is applicable at the order line level.
    Customer Order Inventory Release
    Select this check box if the inventory is committed to the order, or if the order line is released when the hold code is applied.
    Billing Invoice Release
    Select this check box to check if a billing invoice exceeds credit limit during release process. Invoices are released, but are put on hold if the credit limit is exceeded. You can process the invoices on hold only after the hold code is removed. This applies to both invoices and credit memos.
  4. Click Save.
