Partial asset transfer using handheld terminal

You can transfer partial assets from a handheld terminal. The processing presents these variations from the regular transfer process:
  • If you select several items for transfer, then a separate asset is created for each item, instead of grouping the items transferred into one asset. After the transfer records are interfaced to Asset Accounting, they have a status of Transfer in Progress. You cannot change them, but you can delete them.
  • If a single asset transfer is associated with multiple transfer records, then deleting one transfer record deletes all of the transfer records in the set. The asset is returned to its initial state.
  • After the transfer records are imported to the Asset Accounting application, the current status is Transfer in Progress. You cannot change the records, but you can delete them.
  • If a single asset transfer is associated with multiple transfer records, then releasing one transfer record releases all of the transfer records in the set.
