Copyspace

The copyspace command supports copying at a granular level. The command can be completedd at the command line, in a Birst Connect command file, and through web services.

The general structure of the copyspace command is:

copyspace from_SpaceID to_SpaceID copy|replicate options

The command copyspace has 2 modes:
  • copy

    Items in the from_SpaceID are copied over to the to_SpaceID. This is an additive action and does not remove or overwrite existing information.

  • replicate

    This mode makes the items in the to_SpaceID the same as in the from_SpaceID. Replicate removes and overwrites information as necessary.

Caution: 
When you use copyspace…replicate, any customized filters, variables, or reports on dashboard are overwritten with the incoming content from the source space.
