Creating accounting unit security groups
Use this procedure to create a security group that defines accounting units to which actors have access:

Sign in using one of these roles:
- ApplicationAdministrator_ST
- FinancialsAdministrator_ST
- GLController_ST
- FinancialBusinessAnalyst_ST
- ProjectManager_ST
- Select Global Ledger > Setup > Global Ledger Security Setup > Accounting Entity Security Groups.

Click Create,
specify this information, and then click Save:
- Accounting Entity Security Group
- Specify a unique name for the security group.
- Description
- Specify a description for the security group.

Define one or more members for the security group. Members of an accounting
unit security group are summary accounting units to which actors of the security
group have access. For a member record, you can specify a summary accounting
unit or select all accounting units for an accounting entity.
- On the Accounting Entity Security Group page, on the Members tab, click Create.

Specify this information, then click Save:
- Accounting Unit Structure
- Select an accounting unit structure that includes the accounting unit you want to add as a member.
- Accounting Entity
- Select an accounting entity that includes the accounting unit you want to add as a member.
- Accounting Unit
- Select a summary accounting unit to add as a member. Actors of this security group have access to this summary accounting unit. If you want to select all accounting units in the entity, leave this field blank and select the All Accounting Units For Entity check box.
- All Accounting Units For Entity
- Select this check box to include all accounting units in the specified entity in the member record. If you select this check box, actors who are part of this security group can access information for all accounting units in the specified accounting entity.
Note: You can copy all members from one security group to another of the same type. - Verify the records on the Accessible Accounting Entities tab.
Caution:
Users must be added to a security group of this type before the
data is secured.
