Amendments and amendment triggers
When setting up an event, you can select the event and event line changes that trigger an amendment. These are set on the Sourcing Company. If you use the amendment process and make changes that trigger an amendment, then your suppliers are notified by email.

Settings that control amendment activity
An event is placed in the Amendment In Progress status and an amendment notification is sent if:
- The Create Amendments check box is selected on the event.
- An action type is performed that is set to trigger an amendment
- A field is changed that is set to trigger an amendment
A supplier contact receives an amendment notification if:
- They are listed on the event's Notifications tab or they responded to any event line
- They selected to receive e-mail notifications
- They maintain a current e-mail address on their registration profile
Amendment comments
Amendments require a comment that explains why the event was changed. The comment is then sent to the supplier contact in an e-mail notification.
Overriding an amendment
When creating an event, you can override an amendment and prevent it from being created by clearing the Create Amendment field. Overriding an amendment is useful when creating informal bids.
