Portal messages
Portal messages, which are created at Supplier level, are delivered to the inbox of every active contact for the supplier. Messages that are created at the Supplier Contact level are only delivered to that contact. A message is not displayed in the inbox until it is released on the Supplier or Contact record. When the message is released, it is displayed in the inbox as unread, and the supplier contact can maintain the message from there.
Messages can be moved between unread, read, and deleted statuses. When marked as read or deleted, a message is not displayed in the Unread Messages list. When a message is marked as deleted, it is displayed in the Trash tab of the Messages page. Messages in the trash can be marked as Delete Forever.
There are several messages that are populated in Portal Messages and the Supplier Contact inbox that are created by the system. For example, a message that an event has been awarded.
