Organizations

Create organizations to define a hierarchy of Requesting and Inventory Locations. Use that hierarchy to assign watchers and responders at an appropriate level of the hierarchy.

When a product transaction query is submitted, the organization structure is used to assign the tasks for that notice to the individuals who are responsible for that location. Individuals that are assigned to monitor those locations are notified.

The organization structure can be built automatically by the Build Organization Structure action and afterward you can re-parent any organizations.

You can create a domain or organization unit of watchers. For example, Risk Management is a specialty that does not necessarily have notice-related tasks to complete in Item Lifecycle Management.
