Buyers

The buyer is required to indicate who is performing the purchasing function. You must set up at least one buyer.

You can define these functions for a buyer:

Purchasing authority
Purchase order limits

Use purchasing authority to restrict buyers to certain purchasing classes, vendors, locations, and requesting locations. Purchasing classes are defined in Inventory Control. You can also define purchase order limits for a buyer. Global Location Numbers can be assigned to a buyer to represent an entire purchasing organization as an entity.
