Creating generic names

Generic names are used to group similar items under one name and are used as an alternative to brand names or trademarks.

  1. Select Supply Management > Supply Management Setup > Inventory Control > Generic Names.
  2. Click Create.
  3. Specify this information:
    Item Group
    Specify an item group.
    Generic Name
    Specify a generic name. Generic names are used to group inventory items together.
  4. Click Save.
