Special item validation feature

Special items can be validated by using no validation (skip) or by being prompted to add the item from the catalog (warn). Special item validation can be configured on the RSS tab on Company or Requester.

The warn feature is used to warn users when the item they are requesting matches one that is already set up in the Item Master, Vendor Item or Manufacturer Number fields. You view the matching items that are set up in the system to determine whether your request for a special item is a mistake.
