Report and Update mode
The difference between Report and Update mode is that in Report mode you can review transaction data and in Update mode transaction data is directly sent to the database. When you run a process in Report mode, you have the opportunity to review transactions for errors or incomplete data and correct them.
For example, you can run the Received, Not Invoiced report in Report mode to see orders that you have received but have not been invoiced. You can then decide whether to correspond with the vendor to resolve the incomplete process or to proceed in Update mode and send this information to Global Ledger.
