Adjusting released receipts
You can adjust a receipt
after it is released to establish and maintain the correct item quantity. Adjustments are
applied against the purchase order receiver line.
- Select Manage Receiving > Receipt Adjustments.
- Search for and open a receipt adjustment line.
- On the Lines tab, open a line.
- Specify the item quantity to adjust by specifying a new Adjustment Quantity.
-
On the Detail tab, specify this
information:
- Cancel Backorder
- Select this check box to cancel a back order after the item quantity is decreased.
- Write-Off If Matched
- If you decreased the item quantity, then specify that you will write off the difference rather than create an adjusting invoice.
- Adjustment Bin
- If the item is a bin-tracked inventory item, select the bin.
- Line Type
- Select the line type.
-
If you define the asset details for the purchase order, identify
which asset detail records are adjusted on the purchase order. If details exist, then
you cannot release the receiving adjustment until the details are selected.
See the Asset Accounting User Guide.
- Click Save.
