Purchase order issuance
Issuance is a term that is used to describe the process of sending a purchase order to a vendor. Issuance includes all of the possible methods for delivering the purchase order to the vendor.
- Purchase orders can be issued using email, EDI, or paper, or you can opt not to issue them at all.
- Both the online and the mass issue pages can be used to issue the draft and final copies of the purchase order.
- The original and revised issue methods can be used to include revisions on purchase orders.
- A final copy of a purchase order can only be issued after it is released.
- A draft copy can be issued anytime before it is released and as many times as required.
- Changes to the purchase order after the final copy is issued are considered revisions.
