Populating group effort

You can run an action to populate effort percentages from the average actual percentages. The last record is adjusted by the action for any rounding issues to a tenth of a percent when the average actual is not exactly 100.00%. When the Populate Effort Percent action is run, the percentages are overridden if they were manually specified. The Populate Effort Percent action can be run only when the system date is after the effort period end date. All labor periods must be processed for the effort period.

Sign in as Project Accountant or Project Administrator.
Select Project Processes > Labor Processes > Populate Effort Percent.
Specify this information:

Employee Group

Select the employee group. An employee group is a custom group from the Employee business class that defines the group of employees for which to populate effort percent records. For example, you can create a group of employees by organization unit.

Effort Schedule

Select the effort schedule for the employees in the employee group that is used to populate effort percent records.

Period

Select the period for which to populate effort percent records.

Override Existing

Clear the check box to not override the specified effort records. When this check box is selected, the zero effort percentage or the previously specified effort percentages are overridden with the actual percentages. The default is to override the existing one.
Click Submit.
