Setting up fringe benefit burdens

You can set labor distribution fringe and encumbrance fringe rates in these places:

• Project employee. The fringe benefit burden can be specified on the project employee record. The burden can be specified if fringe encumbrance rates are determined by employee with the same rate across multiple grants. There are separate finance structure fields for the labor distribution fringe burden and the fringe encumbrance burden.
• Project. If fringe encumbrance rates are determined by project, then you specify the fringe benefit burden on the project.
• Project Assignment Labor. You can override the fringe encumbrance rate by overriding the fringe benefit burden code on the project assignment labor distribution record.
