Encumbrances after rollover
When purchase order encumbrances are rolled over to the next year, these updates occur:
- The Global Ledger Commit Entity Year Period is updated to the beginning period of the next year. For example, rolling over to fiscal year 2017 where the month of October is the first period. The Global Ledger Commit Entity Year Period is updated with “2016305”.
- The corresponding Finance Totals records with the old Entity Year Period are reduced as the encumbrances are rolled over. These totals are balanced and no further updates will occur for these records.
- New Finance Total records are created with the next year's beginning period. These Finance Total records are updated when purchase order encumbrances are matched, canceled, or deleted. If the rolled over purchase order encumbrances are greater than the original encumbrance amount, the difference should be counted against the current period.
- The Budget Template Obligation is moved to next year’s beginning period.
