Pivot analysis reports

You can view financial data that is stored in the general ledger total OLAP cube in various configurable definitions. GL pivot analysis uses existing cube view functionality to deliver predefined views. These delivered cube views can be configured by your organization to meet your specific requirements. Configurations change the look and of menus, pages, and various user interface objects and actions that are associated with a business class.

The table shows the features that are available for all pivot analysis reports:

Structures	Reporting basis selection is available Structures can be changed for alternate hierarchies Use Reset to set the structures back the reporting basis structures Only used for setting reporting basis and structure selections By design,the calendar structure cannot be changed
Filter	Data filter is available Uses structures that are assigned on the structures selection Select Reset to clear all filters Calendar period does nothing in the filter Calendar period is filtered using the period override selector Filter is only available on pivot analysis report when there is not a search field.
Period Filter	Click the current period to open period override selector The selected period will be the period for the first column or set of columns, depending on the column view used.
Dimensions	Use to change the dimension that is used in the tree Add or remove dimensions Show a maximum of 3 dimension levels to set levels that are initially displayed. The default for suppress zeros is true. Select to preserve pivot dimensions when filtering.
Pivot views	Predefined combinations of the dimension tree. Use the pivot by menu to change the pivot view.
Period View	Several period combinations are available, for example, last 2 months and last 2 years Predefined combination of periods that displays the columns in the list.
Column View	Predefined combinations of display fields of period for each period defined in the period view will display in the list. Use the Column Views menu to change the Column view.
Total	This page contains General ledger total records or General ledger transaction records that are associated with the amount of the highlighted row in the cube view. Content is available when you click Load Totals or Load Transactions. Reports with period views have a feature to select a period. Period views identify the period to use for the returned general ledger total records. Use the period menu to switch between the periods of the selected row.

Pivot analysis report	Description
Compare Analysis	A selected period is displayed and compared to the previous period by beginning balance, period balance, and ending balance for functional amount measurement. Predefined period views are by Last 2 Months, Last 2 Quarters, and Last 2 Years.
Period Over Period	The selected period is displayed with the column view of the functional amount measure with or without YTD balances and compares it across the period views.
Variance Analysis	The selected period is displayed with two column views, budget view, and budget variance while displaying a single month, quarter, or year period. Budget view shows budget amount, and variance between the total amount and budget amount. Budget variance shows the functional amount, commitments, encumbrances, and total (sum of amount, commitments, and encumbrance).
