New budget templates

When budget editing is active, you may be required to add new templates. To safely make these changes, the Budget Edit Queue must be suspended. You must follow the recommended steps to ensure that the budget editing information is properly updated.

Before adding and activating new templates, ensure that no Global Ledger activities that update commitment totals are running or are initiated.

Process	Description
Suspend the Budget Edit Queue	Suspending the Budget Edit Queue ensures that existing transactions are not processed while changes are being made. This process ensures that the budgeting information is properly updated. See Suspending and resuming the Budget Edit Queue.
Create the new template	Before adding and activating new templates, ensure that no Global Ledger activities that update commitment totals are running or are initiated. See Creating budget templates.
