Rebalancing accounting unit zones

This utility is available when zone balancing is defined for an accounting entity. Use this utility to generate the system journal to rebalance each zone when accounting units are reorganzied on accounting entities that use zone balancing. Run this utility if transactions have been posted before accounting unit zone balancing is enabled.

Select Utilities > Accounting Unit Zone Rebalance.
Specify this information:

Finance Enterprise Group

Select the finance enterprise group to rebalance. The finance enterprise group from the user context is the default value.

Accounting Entity Option

Select Single or Group.

Accounting Entity

Select the accounting entity or accounting entity group to rebalance.

Begin Fiscal Year

Optionally, specify the fiscal year to begin rebalancing. The close ledger balances are adjusted for the year that is specified. Additional system-generated journals are created. If this field is blank, then all years are included in the rebalance.
Click OK.
When the Accounting Unit Zone Balancing is completed, you must perform these actions:
- Run the Rebuild Undistributed Retained Earnings utility for each accounting entity and year that is changed by the zone rebalancing.
- Reclose the Reporting Basis years if they were reopened to create system-posted journals that were generated by the zone rebalancing.
