Receiving in-transit transfers

Use Inventory Control to receive items that were transferred to your location. When items are sent to your location using an in-transit transfer, you must receive the items into your inventory to increase your stock-on-hand.

  1. Select Transactions > Transfer Receipts.
  2. Specify this information:
    Receiving Location
Select the location to receive the transferred items.
    Intransit Document
Select the document ID that was created from the original location.
  3. Click Save.

The receiving document is also known as the document ID.

  4. Specify the receiving document.
  5. Select Yes in the Receive All field.
  6. If the received quantities are not accurate, then specify the correct number received in the Quantity field.
  7. Click Submit.
  8. If you receive any items that are detail tracked, then you are prompted to complete a Walk Thru. If an item is tracked by bin, lot, or serial number, then you are transferred to Lots, Serials, or Bins.

You cannot view or make changes to the in-transit receipt on Intransit Receiving after you release the document. Use Transaction History to view the document then use Adjustments to create an adjustment to change stock-on-hand.

Stock-on-hand is increased when you release the in-transit receipt.

  9. Release the in-transit receipt document.
