Physical inventory assessment
The item quantity that is currently in stock at a location is physical
inventory.
A physical inventory assessment is used to accurately record stock-on-hand quantities and to track costs by location. Before you can conduct a physical inventory assessment, you must set up at least one inventory location and report group.
During a physical inventory assessment, you can manually count all of the items in your location and then put the values into Inventory Control. In addition to the stock-on-hand quantities, you can include on-order items in your physical inventory assessments.
For information about importing physical inventory, see the Data Interface Guide.
