Creating item comments

You can add comments to keep important information with the item record. Each comment can include up to 99 lines of text. The comments are printed on the Inventory Intransit Shipping report.

The comments that you add are used in the Purchasing, Item and Order Billing, and Production Management. Before you add comments to items, you must have set up the item, item group, and item comment type.

  1. Select Items.
  2. On the Item List tab, open an item record.
  3. On the Comments tab, click Create.
  4. Complete the fields.
  5. Select the beginning and ending date that the comment is printed on reports.
  6. Click Save.
