Typical process

This table shows a high-level overview of the inventory recommendations process:

Process	Description	Frequency
Run Replication Sets	Relevant inventory data is copied and updated automatically when replication sets are run.	Automatically runs on a schedule that is set by a Supply Management administrator. This typically occurs an hour before daily data or recommendations are run.
Run Daily Data	KPIs and chart data are automatically updated.	Automatically runs on a schedule that is set by a Supply Management administrator, typically every night
Run Recommendations	Compute new recommended inventory values. Each time this process is run, old recommendations and manual overrides are replaced with new recommendations. This process can be configured for perpetual locations, par locations, or all locations. This process also includes the Daily Data process.	Manually run or automatically runs on a schedule that is set by a Supply Management administrator, typically once per month
View Recommendations	On the Perpetual Items and Par Items tabs, view and take action on several items at a time: review, approve, skip, and send to Item Location.	After recommendations are run
