Anonymize processing overview
Anonymize processing is the method that is used by Infor to adhere to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
The GDPR regulation states that businesses are required to protect the personal data and privacy of EU citizens for transactions that occur within EU member states.
The data that is affected is in the Payables, Receivables, Order Entry,Purchasing, and Procurement solutions.
This is the data that can be anonymized:
- Customer
- Vendor
- Supplier
- Order Entry Operator
- Contract Contact
Anonymize processing consists of these actions:
- Anonymize: This action is used to clear identifying information from files.
- Purge Audit Log: This action is used to purge the Audit Log records associated with the anonymized file
Security
The Anonymize and Purge Audit Log processes must be run by a user with the Application Administrator role.
- To enable a user to view the Anonymize menu and run the Anonymize processes, the appropriate anonymize security class must be attached to the role.
- To enable a user to view menu items and perform processing for Purge Audit Log, the appropriate purge security class must be attached to the role.
- We recommend that you attach the two security classes to separate users for a clear separation of duties. Create two configured roles and attach one of the security classes to each role.
See the FSM Security Classes document in the FSM_Release_Docs.zip file.
See the Financials and Supply Management User and Security Administration Guide for information about how to use security to enable the GDPR processes.
