Creating Close Management calendar period groups and periods
Period groups represent the frequency of scheduling close processes and tasks for a calendar.
- Select Financials > Shared Processes > Close Management > Setup > General Setup > Calendars.
- Open a calendar record.
- On the Period Groups tab, click Create.

Specify this information:
- Period Group
- Specify the name of the period group, for example, Annual 2013, Quarterly, Monthly, or Weekly.
- Description
- Specify the description.

Click Save.
You can now create the periods for the period group.
- On the Periods tab, select Create.

Specify this information:
- System Calendar Period Group
- Select a period group.
- Year
- Specify the year.
- Period
- Specify the period frequency. For example, to create monthly periods, specify Monthly.
- From Date
- Specify the start date of the period.
- To Date
- Specify the end date of the period.
- Name
- Specify the name that is displayed as the period name. For example, Month 1 or Jan 2014.
- Click Save and New to add the remaining periods for the period group.
