Updating fee status on project contracts

To load a fee code rate table for the project contract and calculate the current rate, use the Generate Invoices action. The record limit on the table is 99. The record limit can be exceeded if fee codes are used as billing methods and these conditions are met:

  • Multiple fee codes are used on a single contact
  • New rates annually
  • The contact is active for multiple years
For these scenarios, manage the active fee rates by inactivating previous years records to avoid exceeding the table limit. Specifically, inactivate rates that are no longer valid and that have transactions that are not invoiced with previous effective dates or years. Another benefit to managing active rates is that you can filter by current active rates. Historical rates that are no longer required for processing are included.
  1. On Project Contracts, select the Project Contract Fees tab.
  2. Filter the list to narrow the fee code and fee type to activate or inactivate. Filter the list by contracts to change the status. Use the filter feature to verify the data first.
  3. Click Update Contract Fee Status.
