Updating the default period name for close configurations

You can change the Default Period Name that includes text variables to change how the period name is displayed.

  1. Select Financials > Global Ledger > Setup > Finance Enterprise Group > Maintenance.
  2. Open a finance enterprise group and select the Calendar tab.
  3. Open a calendar and select the Close Configuration tab.
  4. Open a close configuration.
  5. Press Ctrl + Shift + right-click on the Default Period Name field.
  6. Select Text Variable Replacement and select the variables to use for the Default Period Name.
  7. On the Years tab, click the arrow and select Rebuild Period Names.
  8. After updating, you must rebuild display periods. Click Create Period Status.
