Exporting dimension hierarchies

You can export a dimension hierarchy for ease of maintenance. For example, modifying descriptions.

The name of the Dimension tab will change depending on what you named the dimensions when setting up your finance enterprise group.

  1. Select Financials > Global Ledger > Setup > Finance Enterprise Group > Maintenance.
  2. Open the finance enterprise group and click the Dimension tab.
  3. Select the dimension structure and select Actions > Export To Upload.
  4. Specify the Run Group name. To refine the elements that are exported, you can specify a Custom Group or Dimension Type.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Modify the records to prepare them for upload.
