Exporting a project hierarchy

  1. Select Financials > Project Ledger > Setup > Project Setup.
  2. Click the Structure tab.
  3. Open the enterprise structure and select Actions > Export To Upload.
  4. Specify this information:
    Run Group
    Specify a run group.
    Custom Group
    Optionally, specify this field to refine the elements that are exported.
    Summary Project
    Optionally, specify this field to refine the elements that are exported.
    Posting Project
    Optionally, specify this field to refine the elements that are exported.
  5. Select the Bypass Edits check box to export without completing the edits that would occur with adding new records.
  6. Click Submit. The structure is created in the Upload tab. If a hierarchy exists in the copied structure, the hierarchy is copied to the new structure.
  7. Modify the records to prepare them for upload on the Upload tab.
    For example, to upload the hierarchy to another project, change the name of the project on each record that you want to upload.
