- Contract Date
- Specify the contract starting date. Contract date is used to
calculate the initial next cycle date on contract
charges.
- Termination Date
- Specify the date when the contract ends. Note-based charges are not processed beyond the termination date. Specify a date that coincides with cycle dates on the company calendar.
- Taxable
- Select whether the contract charges are taxable. The default is
Exempt.
- Tax Code
- Specify a tax code. Tax code is defined on the Tax Code Master page and represents
specific tax information.
- Budget
- Specify a budget ID to maintain budget data specific to the
contract. The budget ID is defined on the Sales Budget ID page.
- Variance Limit
- Specify an amount that represents the maximum difference that is
allowed between the total submitted and total calculated charges on
the Sales Entry
page.
- Group Code
- Specify a user-defined group code. This code is used to group
customer contract activity for processing or reporting purposes. You
define a group code on the Group
Code page.
- Process Level
- Specify a valid process level. Process level is the reporting
hierarchy below the company.
Note: A process level must be specified
for invoice creation. This value is assigned to all invoices
that are created on the Invoice
Interface page. You define a process level on the
Process Level page. In
Franchise Billing, process level
is used for reporting, not processing.
- Estimates
- To use actual sales figures from the prior period to create estimates, select Estimates from actuals. If you want the estimates to be based on predefined budget figures, select Estimates from budget.
Note: Sales estimates are created when you run Create Estimates.
- Require Aggregate Sales
- If aggregate sales processing is not required for all contracts,
select No. Select Yes only if the Require Aggregate
Sales field on the Company Options page is set to
Yes.
- Aggregate Sales By Date
- If aggregate sales processing by date is not required for all
contracts, select No. Select
Yes only if the
Aggregate Sales
By Date field on the Company Options page is set to
Yes.
Note: You can use the Copy function only after you have successfully added an active contract. Only one contract can be active for a particular company, customer, and ship to location, regardless of date range.
