Creating promotions for sales classes

To narrow the pricing parameters, you can assign a promotion to a specific sales class of items or to a specific item.
  1. Select Financials > Billing > Setup > Item Related Setup > Price List Contract Promotion.
  2. Select a promotion record.
  3. On the Sales Class tab, click Create.
  4. Specify this information:
    Sales Class
    Select the sales class range that is affected by this promotion.
    Prohibit Sales
    Select this check box to prohibit ordering items that are priced using this contract sales class.
    No Charge
    Select this check box if items in this sales class are sent free of charge to the customer when they are ordered and priced using this contract.
    Amalgamated Pricing
    Select this check box to use amalgamated pricing for items ordered from a sales class.
    Discount Code
    Select a discount code to assign to the contract.
    Break Quantities and Percents
    Specify quantity break pricing that provides discounts based on the order totals of a particular item.
  5. Click Save.
